We’re celebrating 18 years of the PKBGT!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour (PKBGT) is the largest girls-only junior golf tour in the United States, and it began in 2007. On March 24th, 2007, the PKBGT hosted their first-ever competitive tournament at Bermuda Run Country Club in North Carolina, featuring a field of 26 girls.

18 years later, the PKBGT hosts over 150 tournaments a year in 14 states with fields of over 60 girls on average. With the support of our community, we continue to pave the way for girls to play competitive golf in an inclusive environment where every girl can play and develop at their pace. On Sunday, March 24th, we will celebrate our 2nd would like to celebrate the achievements the PKBGT has accomplished and the growth that girls’ golf has seen, especially in the last decade.

Donate Now to Elevate Her Game

On our inaugural Founder’s Day on March 24, 2024, we raised $6,750 with the help of our generous community to expand our current grant resources. We also announced a new grant, Dream BIG. Play Boldly. with a new partnership, Le Faire. Watch our newly debuted Elevate Her Game video below that highlights the importance of Founder’s Day.

As we continue to expand and grow, additional resources are needed to continue operating the tour at a high level. We have also seen a record high in grant requests during the first three months of 2024.

Girls Golf of America is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation whose mission is to create equity of opportunity for girls in competitive golf through the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour and other initiatives.

Girls Golf of America serves as the foundation for the PKBGT to become a hub of resources for girls and their families when they enter into golf. We are working towards establishing educational opportunities, development initiatives, and additional grants to provide financial assistance for girls in need.

Are you interested in having a special impact on this day?

Please reach out to our Development Manager, CJ, at cj@girlsgolfofamerica.org to discuss potential opportunities. We are looking for donors who want to establish their own grant or create a matching gift challenge for the day.

Founder’s Day will focus on raising funds for additional grants for players needing financial assistance and helping establish the Girls Golf of America endowment for financial stability in the future.
